Pathway Profiles

Following the premature loss of Louis to his family and the local community, the Louis Ballangarry Memorial Day has been established.
Louis was an icon in the Nambucca Valley Community. His achievements included being the first Aboriginal Surf Club President in Australia, the first Aboriginal Assessor in Surf Life Saving, and a member of the First Aboriginal bronze squad and a recipient of the Australian Sports Medal.
We try to emulate his work and keep his vision alive for the valley’s youth going through our sponsorship of junior sporting clubs.
